Parents often cannot pay for the hospital stay or medicine for their children and then put themselves into severe debt in order to have their children treated. Consequently, children are treated when it is too late.
Those parents who cannot pay hospital costs are financially supported by our organization. For children who will need future treatments can now receive medical insurance.
Children who suffered severe burns from open fire cooking, were the first recipients of our support.
In March 2011, Hermann Putz visited this very ill girl in the hospital and upon his visit to Ghana one year later, she was well again (below). With the aid of our financial support, Sister Mary could properly nurse her back to health, often feeding her baby formula to regain her strength.
